Some of you may recall the very angry, very nasty jerk I posted about — The self-proclaimed “Amazing Atheist” and his asstard attack on DonExodus2, a Christian who also happens to be a great defender of reason and science (particularly evolutionary biology) on Youtube.
The reactions, in the hot and fevered world of Youtube Atheism, are pouring in. Eddygoombah, though, says it best:

It kinda bothers me when I read on other blogs about how I’m an “angry atheist.” I’m not fucking angry. That guy? Now, he’s angry. And I have no idea why.

Kafirgirl — I think his anger has a lot more to do with some weird headspace — that whole bit about taking on the label atheist because it was “fucking dangerous”? That’s a guy with some issues. Actually, it strikes me that he’s a bad spokesman for atheism, in part, because I doubt his sincerity, at least in the sense that if he found something that sounded more “dangerous” he might jump ship to that. In short, he’s wearing atheism like a pair of clothes to proclaim his outsider status.
As for you being angry — hah! Sarcastic, yes, but in very funny ways. More importantly, whatever anger you’ve displayed has a point, and that’s fine. You’re railing against ugly ideas and injustices, instead of just, well, everything and everyone.

Yeah, that whole bit — I chose to be an atheist because people think atheists are evil baby-eaters — the fuck?? I think most of us are working to end that kinda shit.

The volume of someone’s voice or the language that they use does not determine the validity of their argument.
“The Amazing Atheist”, although seemingly in a state of perpetual rage, is actually quite a calm and thoughtfull person. His angry and offensive manner is merely for entertainment’s sake.
If you were to actually watch several of his videos you’d find that most of his positions are sound, if debatable.
