Things that confuse me

I get really confused by the following things:
Why is no atheist ever just believed when they say they don’t believe in God?
Why does every evangelizing Christian assume they have deeper insights into a person’s thoughts than that person?
Why do so many people confuse atheism with being a world view, when it’s not?
