i miss carl. badly. what a gift he was. i remember being totally mesmerized by cosmos. still pisses me off that i let donor angst/rebellion keep me from physics and cosmology as a career.
and that same message we’ve been needing to hear forever. like mark knopfler sang: “we haven’t changed since ancient times.”

I can still cry thinking about him. Easily. Watching this almost made me do so.
It always amazes me how he could simultaneously put humanity in its place, so tiny and small, and yet make it feel magnificent. There’s some real spirituality for you.
